TDM at PSCO 2026: Bringing Portable PL Measurement to Perovskite Researchers
How can researchers measure perovskite photoluminescence quickly and conveniently across different laboratory setups?
At the 9th International Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells and Optoelectronics (PSCO 2026), held September 23–25 in Lausanne, Switzerland, TDM’s European partner showcased the SE10 Portable Photoluminescence (PL) Measurement Instrument.
The SE10 attracted strong interest from attendees representing European universities and research institutes. Its compact, lightweight design offers a practical solution for researchers who need rapid PL measurements on perovskite samples.
Why does portability matter?
Research often involves moving between gloveboxes, laboratory benches, and different experimental setups. A handheld instrument gives researchers greater flexibility to characterize samples within these workflows, without requiring a complete pilot or industrial production line.
The conversations at PSCO highlighted interest in accessible characterization tools that support everyday laboratory work. Visitors asked about the SE10’s features, applications, and how it could fit into their research.
Beyond portable PL measurement, TDM offers a broader portfolio of thin-film characterization and process monitoring solutions, including:
• EL/PL area scanning
• Hyperspectral area scanning
• Film thickness and 3D surface topography measurement
• In situ monitoring for slot-die coating, VCD, and vacuum deposition
• Inline inspection systems for perovskite production lines
Our goal is to support characterization needs from laboratory R&D through industrial production, helping teams understand their materials and monitor their processes.
Thank you to our European partner and everyone who visited, asked questions, and shared their research challenges at PSCO 2026.
If you are working on perovskite materials and looking for portable PL measurement or thin-film characterization solutions, I would be pleased to discuss your application and connect you with our technical team.
